Larkin Hoffman is seeking a full-time (37.5 hours per week) Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Accounting Department. This position will work closely with our current accounting department staff and be responsible for the overall coordination of the Firm's accounts receivable process. This candidate will possess three or more years of experience in accounts receivable or an equivalent combination of education and/or related experience. Certain job duties include providing overall support to the accounting process by recording, reconciling, and analyzing general ledger & bank accounts, reviewing daily cash receipts, preparing daily deposits, and processing credit card payments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive all checks and cash receipts (A/R payments, retainers, trust funds) and determine the appropriate bank account for deposit.
- Process credit card payments using LawPay and assist clients & attorneys with A/R questions.
- Review daily cash receipts and apply to the appropriate accounts receivable balances.
- Prepare daily deposit and submit electronically (or take to the bank when needed).
- Process trust check requests and maintain trust account records.
- Prepare weekly retainer deposit and process retainer refunds and/or applications to A/R as requested.
- Identify software tools to streamline and automate processes, participate in the development of procedures, and initiate change to increase efficiencies in current processes.

- Minimum of three years of general accounts receivable experience.
- Will consider equivalent combination of education and/or related experience if candidate does not have three years of noted experience.
- Intermediate level expertise working with accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience working with Elite 3E (Law Firm Accounting Software).
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior accounts receivable or general accounting experience acquired from a law firm or legal setting.
- In person with possibility of hybrid work schedule after initial 3 - 6 month onboarding period.

- The starting compensation range for this position is $55,000 to $62,000 and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the starting compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s years of experience, qualifications, and skill set.
